Andreas Baum (born April 17, 1965 in Kassel ) is a German journalist , film director , author and film producer .

Life

After graduating from the Goethe-Gymnasium Kassel , Andreas Baum studied law at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . In 1992 he completed his studies with the state examination in law and the academic degree of Diplom-Jurist (Dipl.-Jur.).

Since 1986 Andreas Baum has worked as a journalist and author in addition to his law studies, since 1987 also for the ZDF editorial team "Law and Justice" as a freelance TV journalist, a. a. with reports for the news program heute , the heute-journal , the ZDF Morgen- und Mittagsmagazin , the political television program Kennzeichen D and the business and consumer magazine WISO . During his studies he also worked regularly for the German Press Agency (dpa) as well as for various nationwide print media and HR radio .

In 1994 Andreas Baum founded EXIT Film- und Fernsehproduktion as well as EXIT Studios and EB teams in Kassel. Since then he and his team have been producing a. Documentaries, reports and TV magazine articles etc. a. for ZDF , ZDFinfo , 3sat , Arte , ARD , MDR for programs like ZDFzoom , WISO, Frontal21, plusminus or the Umschau .

Baum also works as a writer and director for scenic productions (including 165 episodes of “Stories from the Legal Crypt” for the court magazine “Recht brisant”) and produces music videos, image, advertising and event films. In 1997 Andreas Baum published the book "WISO-Report - Die lous Maschen der Rzocker" in Ueberreuter- Verlag. In 2012 he founded Fun Factory Films in Kassel for the licensing and distribution of films.
