Andreas Blank (born May 27, 1980 in Emmendingen ) is a former German handball player . He last played until the 2010/11 season in the 3rd division with SG Köndringen / Teningen .
In his youth, Blank played at SG Köndringen / Teningen. Then he switched to TuS Schutterwald as an active player . After only one year at VfL Gummersbach , he went to the north Baden HSG Kronau / Bad Schönborn, only to switch to SG Kronau-Östringen after a year .
After four years with the "Kröstis", the handball professional was brought to VfL Pfullingen in 2005 with the aim of making handball competitive in the Stuttgart region with the new Porsche Arena as a home. When the club was not only relegated from the first division at the end of the 2005/06 season, but also VfL Pfullingen Handball Bundesliga GmbH & Co.KG filed for bankruptcy and the team had to withdraw from the Bundesliga, Blank went to second division TV Emsdetten . There he stayed for a year and in 2007 moved back to the 1st division for MT Melsungen , where he succeeded Karsten Wöhler on the left wing position . Behind Daniel Tellander and Iwan Brouka , however, he was only used sporadically; in February 2008 Blank moved on to TV Großwallstadt . He was supposed to leave the same again in summer 2008. Since then he has played again for SG Köndringen / Teningen and ended his career at the end of the 2010/2011 season for professional reasons.
In cover, Blank often played as "preferred". Blank played eleven international matches for the junior national team.
