Andreas Borum

Andreas Borum (* 1799 in Hamburg ; † April 29, 1853 in Munich ) was a German painter , lithographer , who also worked in stone, and picture collector.

Life

At first he worked as a carpenter in Leipzig and trained at the art academies in Munich .

From 1829 to 1835 Borum was the "regular holder" of the "Hamburg artist colony" in Munich. Jacob Gensler , Georg Haeselich , Markus Haeselich , Franz Heesche , Victor Emil Janssen , Hermann Kauffmann , Johann Karl Koch , Joh. Ludwig Westermann, Wilhelm Friedrich Wulff and Wassermann had their temporary connection there .
