Andreas Braß

Andreas Braß , also Andreas Brass (* 1894 ; † after 1942) was a German manager and functionary.

Life

From 1913 Braß was a volunteer at the Bayerische Versicherungsbank . From 1915 he did military service in the First World War . He returned in 1917 after being wounded. He became a sales representative of the Bayerische Versicherungsbank and was chief inspector from 1928 and district director from 1931.

After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was in May 1933 Commissioner of the German Labor Front for the Bavarian consumer cooperatives. In autumn 1933 he became director and in 1936 general director of Deutsche Lebensversicherung Gemeinnützige AG .

After the November Revolution he was active in a right-wing extremist "Resident Defense". In November 1923 he took part in the Hitler putsch . Braß had been a member of the NSDAP since 1923 and became a member again in early July 1925. In 1925/26 and again from 1930 he was an honorary local group leader of the NSDAP in Kirchseeon . From 1932 to 1934 he was district leader of the NSDAP in the Ebersberg district . From 1935 to 1937 he was head of the NSDAP in Fehrbellin . From May 1937 he was district leader z. b. V ..

He was Standartenführer since 1937, later Oberführer in the NSKK .

In mid-1939 he fell out with Robert Ley and was released. He was initially unemployed for two years and in 1941 temporarily took over the management of a food wholesaler in Poznan . In 1942 he was expelled from the NSDAP and again unemployed.
