Andreas Choi Chang-mou

Andreas Choi Chang-mou (born September 15, 1936 in Munsan , then the Japanese Empire , now South Korea ) is the old archbishop of Gwangju .

Life

Andreas Choi Chang-mou was ordained a priest on June 9, 1963 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Seoul . John Paul II named him auxiliary bishop in Seoul and titular bishop of Flumenepiscense on February 3, 1994 .

The Archbishop of Seoul, Stephen Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan , donated him episcopal ordination on March 25 of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Paul Kim Ok-kyun , auxiliary bishop in Seoul, and Peter Kang U-il , auxiliary bishop in Seoul.

The Pope appointed him on 9 February 1999 to Koadjutorerzbischof of Gwangju . After Victorinus Youn Kong-his retired , he succeeded him on November 30, 2000 as Archbishop of Gwangju. He resigned from his office on March 25, 2010.
