Andreas Fischer (born April 11, 1966 in Nuremberg ) is a German politician ( FDP until 2014, thereafter non-party).

Personal biography

After attending elementary school and high school in Burglengenfeld and completing military service, he studied law in Freiburg and Munich from 1986 to 1991 . After a legal traineeship in Memmingen, Aichach and Munich , he did his doctorate in Munich on the subject of “Artistic freedom and criminal law”. In 1995, Fischer was a member of the government in the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance , from 1995 to 1997 a research assistant at the University of Munich and from 1997 to 1999 a judge at the Munich Administrative Court .

From 1999 to 2009, Fischer was Head of the Public Safety and Order Department at the District Office of the Kelheim District . He is married and now lives in Abensberg .

Political career

Fischer joined the FDP in 1985 ; a year later he became a member of the Young Liberals . From 1987 to 1988 he was the state chairman of the Liberal University Groups in Baden-Württemberg . In 2001 Fischer became deputy chairman of the FDP district association in Kelheim, and in 2002 district chairman of the Lower Bavarian FDP. In the same year he was also elected to the state executive committee of the Bavarian FDP. Since 2004, Fischer has been the spokesman for judicial policy of the Bavarian FDP , and since February 2007 also deputy state chairman. He headed the FDP state committee for domestic and legal policy.

In both 2003 and 2008, Fischer was the top candidate of the Lower Bavarian FDP in the election for the Bavarian state parliament . While the FDP failed to pass the 5 percent hurdle in 2003, Fischer succeeded in entering the state parliament on the list in the 2008 state elections . Although he ran as a direct candidate in the Kelheim district , he was defeated here against Martin Neumeyer of the CSU , but entered the state parliament via the Lower Bavaria district list . Here he was elected deputy group leader.

  • Data Protection Commission

After the FDP could not overcome the 5 percent hurdle in the state election in Bavaria in 2013 , he left the state parliament. On December 14, 2014, Andreas Fischer announced his resignation from the FDP via the media. He expressed particular criticism of the Bavarian referendum initiated by the FDP Bayern "For an independent judiciary in Bavaria". In this article he stated that he would "temporarily" continue the district council mandate, which he won as the top candidate of the FDP in Kelheim, as a non-party district councilor ".
