Kunstein's 13 epigrams for orchestra were nominated in 2000 for the Nederlandse Prijs voor Jonge Componisten (Dutch Prize for Young Composers). His 10 epigrams for children's piano , played by Bernd Wiesemann, appeared on CD by Liebermann (SST 31112) and his 10 epigrams for piano , played by Ratko Delorko , on CD "NCC 8007".
