Andreas von Renner (born September 28, 1814 in Ditzingen , † December 8, 1898 in Stuttgart ) was a civil servant and finance minister of the Kingdom of Württemberg .

After elementary school in Ditzingen and Latin school in Korntal, Andreas Renner attended grammar school in Stuttgart from 1832 to 1834 . This was followed by a degree in camera science from 1834 to 1836 in Tübingen , which he successfully completed with the first and second service exams in August 1836 and June 1837. He began his career in 1836 with the position of an accountant in the "lunatic asylum" Winnenthal , which was followed from 1837 to 1839 as an accountant at the Leonberg camera office. After studying at the Hohenheim Agricultural Academy, which began in 1830, and after holding further positions as camera administrator, in 1846 he became finance advisor in the Württemberg Department of Finance. There he rose to the position of director of the forest department until 1858, which now became an independent authority under his leadership as the forest directorate.

Member of the state parliament

From 1853 to 1855 Renner was an elected member of the Oberamt Besigheim in the Second Chamber of the Württemberg estates . Since July 1861 he was an appointed member of the First Chamber for life. He resigned the mandate in May 1890 for health reasons.

Finance minister

On September 21, 1864, Renner received the title of Councilor of State and was provisional head of the Department of Finance. From September 8, 1865 to October 12, 1891, Renner was Minister of State in the Department of Finance and was a member of the Varnbuler and Midnight governments .

family

Andreas Renner's father Johann Gottfried Renner (1782–1833) was the landlord of the Adler inn and councilor in Ditzingen and married to Johanna Barbara Hummel. The couple had seven children. Andreas Renner married Marie Plessing in 1842, who gave birth to two children. Andreas Renner was a Protestant.
