Andrei Borissowitsch Skopinzew ( Russian Андрей Борисович Скопинцев ; born September 28, 1971 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player . Since 2019 he has been assistant coach at HK Dynamo Moscow again .
Career
Andrei Skopinzew began his career in 1989 with Krylya Sowetow Moscow before moving to the Augsburger Panther in 1995, where he stayed for a season. In the 1997 NHL Entry Draft , the Tampa Bay Lightning selected him in the seventh round in 153rd place. 1998 to 2001 Skopinzew completed 40 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Atlanta Thrashers in the National Hockey League . In 2001 the defender returned to Russia for HK Dynamo Moscow . His next positions from 2006 were Vitjas Chekhov , HK Sibir Novosibirsk and HK MWD Balaschicha . At the end of the 2011/12 season Skopintsev ended his active career.
Since 2013 Skopinzew has been working as a trainer in the organization of Dynamo Moscow, including the HK Dynamo Balaschicha and the junior team HK MWD Balaschicha.
