Andrei Andrejewitsch Mironow ( Russian Андрей Андреевич Миронов ; English transcription: Andrei Mironov ; born July 29, 1994 in Moscow ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Dynamo Moscow from the Continental Hockey League again since 2018 .

Career

Andrei Mironow comes from the youth division of HK Dynamo Moscow . From 2011 to 2014 he was at HK MWD Balaschicha , the Dynamos junior team in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League . In 2012 he was awarded a professional contract by HK Dynamo Moscow and from then on ran for the team in the Continental Hockey League (KHL). The defender won the Gagarin Cup and thus the Russian championship in his first KHL season . In addition, he was appointed to the KHL All-Star Game in 2015 .

In May 2017, Mironov signed a two-year entry contract with the Colorado Avalanche from the National Hockey League (NHL), which had previously selected the Russian in 101st position in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft . As a result, however, he was only active in Colorado for almost six months, mainly with the Avalanche's farm team , the San Antonio Rampage , before his contract was prematurely terminated in March 2018. He returned to Dynamo Moscow for the 2018/19 season.

International

Mironov represented his home country Russia in the junior division at the U18 World Cup in 2012 and the U20 World Cup in 2013 and 2014 . He won two bronze medals with the Sbornaja at U20 level . At the 2015 World Cup , he made his debut with the senior national team and won the silver medal with the team.
