Andrei Wiktorowitsch Samochwalow ( Kazakh Андрей Викторович Самохвалов ; born May 10, 1975 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh ice hockey player who played in the Russian Super League for five years in the Russian Super League , Omsk .

Career

Andrei Samochwalow began his career in 1990 in the Soviet league with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for whom he played in the International Hockey League , the top division of the CIS countries, from 1993 . In 1996 he moved to HK Awangard Omsk in the newly founded Russian Super League , where he was on the ice for five years. Further stations were the Russian clubs Metallurg Novokusnezk , Salawat Julajew Ufa , HK Spartak Moscow , HK MWD Balaschicha , with whom he became champion of the Vysschaya League in 2005 , Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod , with whom he achieved the same success in 2007, and Chimik Voskressensk . In none of these clubs he was under contract for more than two years. At the end of his career he played from 2007 to 2010 for HK Chimwolokno Mahiljou in the Belarusian extra league .

International

In 2006 Samokhvalov was appointed to the Kazakh national team and took part in the 2006 Winter Olympics, having previously been part of the Kazakh squad at the Olympic qualifying tournament for these games. He also played for Kazakhstan at the C World Championships in 1995 and 1996 and at the B World Championship in 1999 . After switching to the current division system, he was on the ice for his colors at the World Championships in the top division in 2004 and 2006 and in Division I in 2009 .
