Andrej Lanišek (born October 13, 1957 in Ljubljana ) is a former Yugoslav biathlete .

Andrej Lanišek started for the Ski Klubb Kamnik . He contested his first international championships at the Biathlon World Championships in 1979 in Ruhpolding , where he was 65th of the individual, 72nd of the sprint and 17th of the relay race with Marjan Vidmar , Ivan Pirs and Marjan Burgar . At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , Marjan Burgar was the only Yugoslav to play, making the 1981 Biathlon World Championships in Lahti the next major event for the Slovenian. In the sprint, he finished 68th. His last world title fights were the biathlon world championships in 1983 in Antholz . Lanišek was 57th in the individual and 60th in the sprint. The high point and the end of his career were the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . In the then Yugoslav homeland he was 41st of the individual, 49th of the sprint and as a starting runner with Jure Velepec , Zoran Ćosić and Franjo Jakovac 17th in the relay race.
