Andrew Paul (born August 15, 1961 in Alexandra ) is a former Australian biathlete .

Andrew Paul started for the first time in 1978 in Hochfilzen at the biathlon world championships and was 20th in the relay race with Bob Butler , Lauri Jordikka and Bob Granage . The Australian achieved the same result in 1981 with Andrew Milvan , Geza Kovacs and David Degama in Lahti . In 1982 he competed in his first individual races at world championships in Minsk . In the individual he came on the 59th, in the sprint on the 56th place. Paul achieved similar results in 1983 in Antholz , where he finished 65th in the individual and 54th in the sprint. The first career highlight was the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo , where Paul finished 47th in the individual and 50th in the sprint. This was followed by the 1985 biathlon world championships in Ruhpolding , where the Australian finished 58th in the individual and 65th in the sprint, the 1986 World Championships in Oslo with ranks 65 in the individual, 62 in the sprint and with Peter Tonkin , Dean Wild and Evan Butler 18 in the relay race and the 1987 World Championships in Lake Placid , where Paul was 57th in the individual and 55th in the sprint. In 1988 he started in Calgary for the second time in the Olympic Games and was 57th in the individual and 62nd in the pursuit. At the end of his career, Paul took part in two more world championships. In 1990 he was 76 in the individual in Minsk, but did not take part in the rest of the World Cup races, which were postponed due to the chaos of the weather. In 1991 he was 62nd in the individual and 70th in the sprint in Kontiolahti . He is married to former biathlete Sandra Paintin .
