Andriy Rabiy (born October 1, 1975 in Lviv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian clergyman and auxiliary bishop in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Archepark Philadelphia .

Life

Andriy Rabiy was ordained a deacon on November 15, 1998 . He received on 19 December 2001, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On August 8, 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Germaniciana and Auxiliary Bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic archeparchy Philadelphia. He was consecrated as bishop by the Major Archbishop of Kiev-Halych of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church , Svyatoslav Shevchuk , on September 3 of the same year at the opening service of the Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in St. George's Cathedral in Lviv . Co- consecrators were Metropolitan Stephen Soroka and Bishop David Motiuk , Eparch of the Edmonton Eparchy .

With the resignation of Stephen Soroka on April 16, 2018, he was appointed by Pope Francis as Apostolic Administrator of the Archeparchy of Philadelphia for the sedis vacancy that lasted until February 18, 2019 .
