Andrzej Bart
Andrzej Bart , actually: Andrzej Bart-Sołtysiak , (born January 1, 1951 in Wrocław , Poland ) is a Polish writer , director and screenwriter .
Life
Bart was born in Wroclaw and moved to Łódź with his family . There he first attended high school and then the State University of Film, Television and Theater Łódź . Bart's award-winning debut novel Rien ne va plus was published in 1991. He wrote the screenplay for the successful film Rewers . In 2005 and 2006 he traveled to China , Iran and France . His first novel, The Flycatcher Factory , translated into German in 2011 , was published in his home country in 2008. From 2016 to 2018 he worked as artistic director of the New Theater in Łódź.
He lives in Łódź.
