Samuel Bogumil Linde Prize

The Samuel Bogumil Linde Prize is a literary prize that was donated by the cities of Thorn (Toruń) and Göttingen in 1996. It is named after the Polish linguist Samuel Bogumił Linde and annually honors German and Polish writers or humanities scholars who have achieved “understanding, reconciliation and friendly affection for their neighbors”.

The award is endowed with 5,000 euros each (2020) and is awarded annually alternately in the two partner cities.
