Andrew "Andy" Paul Lee (* 11. August 1982 in Westminster , South Carolina ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the punters . He plays for the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Lee attended the University of Pittsburgh and played from 2004 to 2007 for their team, the Panthers , between 2000 and 2003 as punter college football .

NFL

San Francisco 49ers

In the 2004 NFL Draft , he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round as 188th overall. Already in his rookie season he was the sole punter. For ten seasons, not least because he was spared injuries, he performed every punt for his team and holds numerous franchise records.

In the 2012 season he was able to reach the Super Bowl XLVII with his team , which however was lost to the Baltimore Ravens .

Cleveland Browns

On June 6, 2015, Lee was given to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a seven-round pick in the 2017 draft. He chose the number 8 shirt in memory of his daughter Madelyn, who died eight days after she was born in February 2015.

Carolina Panthers

In 2016, he moved to the Carolina Panthers in another swap for punter Kasey Redfern as well as a seven-round pick in the 2017 draft and a fourth-round pick in 2018 . After only nine games, Lee's season was over with a serious tendon injury.

Arizona Cardinals

In September 2017 he signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals .
