The schoolchildren we approached are a German-language comedy show from Osnabrück . The artists have been producing live shows, plays, films and recordings since 1982.
Career
The group was founded in 1982; the first appearances and tours, at that time still with standing drums and five-part wind instruments, established the schoolchildren in the student and alternative scene. From 1987 to 1989 there were various changes in the line-up. Some of the members founded new formations such as the German-American rock-blues band " Cliff Barnes and the Fear of Winning ", pursued solo careers or climbed e.g. B. at Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub , Tito & Tarantula or Prince of the Blood. From the former nine-member band, the formation around the Granada brothers, keyboardist Dr. Ignatz Ignaz and her singer Heaven Schulkinder. Since 1982, the schoolchildren that have been approached have been performing in the entire German-speaking area and have been involved in many music, film, festival and theater productions around the world.
The trained actors and musicians do not limit themselves to music, shows, comedy and slapstick theater , but also publish films , radio plays, skits, plays and musicals. Appearances on television, e.g. B. at Boulevard Bio , Viva or Sabine Christiansen and in the theater, opera and drama made the group and its members known to a wider audience. On June 6th, 2008, her first musical The Princess with the Limb was premiered in the Osnabrück Theater with the "School Children" directed by Jens Poth. In February 2010, the “school children” in cooperation with Tine Schoch performed their second major stage work Guggurutz und Kokain , a multi-media anti-violence comedy in several acts, for the first time. In addition to the school children, the artists also work in solo projects, including a. Jo Granada with the German-Japanese singer Viviane Kudo and Dr. Ignatz with the pop singer Christian Steiffen and with "Hardy Hardon and the Church of Elvis", as well as film and theater actors, authors, musicians, producers and composers.
Scandals
The group became known mainly due to the song I Wanna Make Love to Steffi Graf , against which an injunction was filed. It was confiscated nationwide by the Hanover District Court on September 28, 1992 , and is therefore subject to a distribution ban in Germany and may no longer be sold. The "schoolchildren" were defeated in the 3rd instance before the Federal Court of Justice and had to pay compensation of 60,000 DM, at the time the highest amount ever imposed in Germany in connection with a violation of personal rights.
Other scandals were, for example, the "Kill- Onkel-Dittmeyer -Aktionsshirt" and the maxi single published for it, or a parody of Peter Maffay and the correct use of condoms (single Konny Mc Love ). However, the relevant proceedings were discontinued and the satirical content was legally judged.
Discography
The schoolchildren who came to the school have been publishing all works in the publishing house and label Pogo Pop Musik since 1983. Since 2006 they have also published their music on the internet portals napster, iTunes, musicload and finetunes.
