Angela Bailey

Angela Bailey (born February 28, 1962 in Coventry ) is a former Canadian sprinter .

At the Commonwealth Games in 1978 in Edmonton , she won the silver medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay . In 1982 in Brisbane she was fourth over 100 m , eighth over 200 m and again won silver with the Canadian 4 x 100 meter relay.

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 , she was fifth over 100 m and seventh over 200 m .

In 1984 she won the silver medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles along with her teammates Marita Payne , Angella Taylor and France Gareau , behind the relay from the United States and in front of the relay from the United States Kingdom . She finished seventh over 100 m and reached the semi-finals over 200 m .

At the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986 she was fourth over 100 m and won another silver medal with the Canadian relay.

In 1987 she won bronze over 60 m at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis . At the World Championships in Rome she was seventh over 100 m, eliminated over 200 m in the semifinals and came in sixth place with the Canadian 4 x 100 meter relay.

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and the semi- finals in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1999 she was fourth in the Canadian 4 x 100 meter relay at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg and sixth at the World Cup in Seville .
