Angela Julcher (born May 29, 1973 in Vienna ) is an Austrian legal scholar and judge . She has been a judge at the Administrative Court since 2011 and a substitute member of the Constitutional Court since 2015 .

education

Angela Julcher was born in the federal capital Vienna and grew up there. She attended the Academic Gymnasium Vienna , where she graduated from high school in 1991 , and then began studying law at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna . In 1995 came the first graduation ceremony for Master of law and the 1997 Promotion to Doctor of Law at the University of Vienna .

Professional background

Julcher was already working as a research assistant at the Hans Kelsen Institute from 1997 . From the end of 1997 to 1999 and again from 2001 to the beginning of 2003, she was also a research assistant at the Administrative Court. From 2003 to 2010 Angela Julcher worked in the constitutional service of the Federal Chancellery , from 2008 she was also head of department. From 2006 to 2010 she was a member of the then Independent Environmental Senate.

Since January 2011, Angela Julcher has been appointed court advisor to the Administrative Court, where she works as a judge. On October 5, 2015 this was beyond the successor of the ECHR appointed Gabriele Kucsko-Stadlmayer to the proposal of the National Council of Federal President Heinz Fischer appointed as an alternate member of the Constitutional Court and two days later by Constitutional Court President Gerhart Holzinger sworn in as such. In November 2017, Angela Julcher was also appointed honorary professor in the department for labor and social law at the University of Salzburg .
