Aniseieae is a tribe in the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae). Since 2017 only genera are counted to it, the type genus is Aniseia .

description

The representatives of the Aniseieae tribe are herbaceous climbing plants . The bases of the leaf blades are heart-shaped or wedge-shaped.

The hermaphroditic flowers are radial symmetry and five-fold with a double flower envelope. The sepals are usually of unequal size and occasionally enlarge until the fruit is ripe. The stamens are flat and hairy. The pollen grains are tricolpat to polycorpat and not prickly. The scars are usually elongated, only one type spherical. The pericarp lignifies the capsule fruits that do not open .

Occurrence

The genera of the Aniseieae tribe are common in the Neotropics.

Systematics

The Aniseieae tribe was established by Saša Stefanović and Daniel Frank Austin .

Since 2017, only three genres belong to the Tribus:

  • Aniseia Choisy (Syn .: Iseia O'Donell ): The three or so species are common in the Neotropic; one species ( Aniseia martinicensis (Jacq.) Choisy ) is pantropically a neophyte.
  • Odonellia K.R. Robertson : The roughly two species are common in the Neotropic.
  • Tetralocularia O'Donell : There is only one species:

According to the cladistic definition, the tribe corresponds to the most comprehensive clade, in which Aniseia martinicensis (Jacq.) Choisy and Odonellia hirtiflora (M. Martens & Galeotti) KR Robertson are classified, but not Convolvulus arvensis L. or Merremia peltata (L.) Merr.
