Anita Hartig

Anita Hartig (* 1983 in Bistritz , Romania ) is a Romanian opera singer ( soprano ). She has been a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble since 2009 .

Life

After graduating from Lyceum, Anita Hartig studied singing with Ana Rusu at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca from 2000 to 2006 . Later she also took singing lessons from Ileana Cotrubaș . In 2005 she took 3rd place at the Hariclea Darclée International Singing Competition . At the National Competition of Romanian Song she reached second place, later first places followed in the Ionel Perlea competition and the singing competition of the Opera Națională Bucureşti . In 2006 she made her stage debut as Mimì in La Bohème at the Opera Naţională Română in Cluj-Napoca.

Ioan Holender brought her to the Vienna State Opera, where she made her debut as Musetta in La Bohème in October 2009 and was a member of the ensemble from 2009 to 2014. There she was, among other things, as Susanna in Figaro's wedding , as Mimì in La Bohème , as Pamina in the Magic Flute , as Micaëla and Frasquita in Carmen , as Giannetta in Love Potion , as Despina in Così fan tutte and as Zerlina in Don Giovanni zu zu see.

The role of Mimì she embodied also in numerous other houses, so around 2010 at the Brussels opera house La Monnaie , 2012 at the Welsh National Opera , at the Teatro alla Scala and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden , in 2013 at the Hamburg State Opera and the Deutsche Oper Berlin as well as in 2014 and 2015 at the Bavarian State Opera , the Paris Opera , the Metropolitan Opera , 2015/16 at the Semperoper and 2017 at the Berlin State Opera .

At the opening of the Vienna Opera Ball in 2014, she performed the aria Depuis le jour from Gustave Charpentier's opera Louise .

Her mother tongue is Romanian, but her father spoke Transylvanian-Saxon with his family .
