Anita Schäfer (born July 9, 1951 in Saalstadt ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the German Bundestag .

Life and work

After completing secondary school , Anita Schäfer trained as a translator at an Inlingua language school. She then worked in the Thaleischweiler branch of the BHG Raiffeisen Frankfurt am Main until 1972 and then as an employee in the administration of the Wallhalben community. In 1979 she became the office manager of the Bundestag member Werner Marx , who died in 1985. From 1987 to 1998 she headed the office of his successor in the constituency of Pirmasens , Klaus-Dieter Uelhoff .

Political party

Anita Schäfer joined the CDU in 1979 and has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association in Southwest Palatinate since 1992 . In 1995 she became a member of the non-partisan Europe Union Germany . Since 1998 she has been a member of the board of the CDU district association Rheinhessen-Pfalz and is also chairwoman of the district association Südwestpfalz of the women's union and a member of the medium-sized and business association of the CDU / CSU.
