Anita Spring (born June 26, 1965 in Bundaberg , today Anita Palm ) is an Australian beach volleyball player .

Career

Spring played her first international tournaments in 1992/93 with Jacqui Vukosa . At the Open tournaments in Almería and Rio de Janeiro , the duo reached places five and six. Then Spring went on with Natalie Cook . On the World Tour, Cook / Spring were always in the top ten. They achieved placements between five and seven in the Open tournaments and the Grand Slam in Carolina ; at the last joint tournament in Santos they finished ninth.

In 1995 Spring formed a duo with Liane Fenwick . At the start, Fenwick / Spring came seventh in La Serena . This was followed by two ninth places at open tournaments in the USA and another seventh place in Espinho . At the tournament in Brisbane they improved to fifth place. In 1996 Fenwick / Spring took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta . After an opening win against the Japanese Fujita / Takahashi , they had to admit defeat to the later gold medalists Sandra Pires and Jackie Silva (Brazil). On the losing side, they first defeated the British duo Cooper / Glover and then eliminated against the Americans Fontana / Hanley ; so they finished the tournament in seventh place.
