Sachiko Fujita ( Japanese 藤田 幸 子 , Fujita Sachiko , married Sagara ( 相 楽 ); born January 9, 1968 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese volleyball and beach volleyball player . She took part in both disciplines in the Olympic Games.

Career

Indoor volleyball

Fujita took in 1988 with the Japanese national team at the Olympics in Seoul in part. There the Japanese reached the semi-finals as second in the preliminary round; however, they lost to Peru and in the third place match against China and missed a medal.

Fujita moved from the hall to the sand and completed her first international tournaments with Yukiko Takahashi in 1994 . At the first joint tournaments, the new duo established themselves in the top ten of the World Tour . After two ninth places, Fujita / Takahashi reached sixth place at the Goodwill Games in Saint Petersburg and came fourth in the Osaka Open. In Busan and at the next performance in Osaka, they experienced their only two tournaments without a top ten result. Then they finished fifth again in Espinho and achieved the same result in Santos . In 1996 they also took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they lost their first game against the Australians Fenwick / Spring ; then they achieved two wins against Castro / Richardson (USA) and the German duo Bühler / Müsch , before they were eliminated against the Brazilian silver medalists Mônica Rodrigues / Adriana Samuel and finished the tournament in fifth place.
