Anke Wöhrer (née Karstens) (born October 13, 1985 in Berchtesgaden , Bavaria ) is a former German snowboard athlete. She started for SC Prien am Chiemsee.

In 2007 Anke Karstens became German champion in parallel slalom ( PSL) and runner-up in parallel giant slalom (PGS). With Isabella Laböck , Amelie Kober and Selina Jörg she will be part of the German World Cup team in winter 2007/08 .

Karstens started snowboarding in 1997, encouraged by her brother. In 2001 she took part in a German championship for the first time, was in Bischofswiesen (Götschen) 26th in the PSL and 33rd in the PGS. In the following year she started in FIS races for the first time . In 2003 she took part in the Junior World Championship for the first time and a few weeks later won her first junior race in Pec pod Sněžkou . In 2004, she participated in the Junior World Championships (in Klinovec ) for the second time , where she won fifth place in the PSL. At the German Championships, she finished second in the PGS that year, a success that she was able to repeat in 2006. In the 2006/07 season she occupied top racing courses several times and was seventh overall in the European Cup, before she became German PSL champion on April 1, 2007 in Kaunertal ahead of Isabella Laböck; in the PGS she only had to admit defeat to Rosa Czipf .

After mixed results at the end of 2007, she surprised on January 9, 2008 with a second place at the World Cup race in Bad Gastein . On March 15, 2008 she celebrated her first World Cup victory in parallel slalom in Valmalenco ahead of Michelle Gorgone and Claudia Riegler from Austria . In December 2008 she reached her last podium for the time being in Limone Piemonte . She has to wait three years for the next podium, until she can take third place in the parallel slalom in Carezza in Italy in December 2011. On December 21, 2012 she was successful again in Carezza, this time in the parallel giant slalom.

At the beginning of the 2012/13 season she reached third place in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza . At the Snowboard World Championship 2013 in Stoneham , she finished 32nd in the parallel giant slalom. In March 2013 she won her second World Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in La Molina . She finished the season in seventh place in the parallel giant slalom ranking and sixth in the parallel ranking. At the German championship in 2013 she won gold in the parallel giant slalom and in the parallel slalom. On February 22, 2014, she won the silver medal in the parallel slalom at the Olympic Games in Sochi . For this, she was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on May 8, 2014 by Federal President Joachim Gauck . She is also an honorary member of the WSV Bischofswiesen.

She ended her career at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Anke Wöhrer lives in Bernau am Chiemsee . In 2010 she successfully completed her training as a police chief in Bad Endorf and has already been promoted to chief police officer. Anke Wöhrer married Florian Wöhrer in June 2016 and took her husband's last name.
