Ann-Katrin Schinkel (born May 4, 1989 in Birkenfeld ) is a German soccer player .
Career
In the club
Schinkel began her football career at VfR Baumholder and in 2006 moved to the second division 1. FC Saarbrücken , where she immediately fought for a regular place on the left side of defense. In her very first season she won the 2nd Bundesliga South championship with Saarbrücken and was promoted to the Bundesliga. There she made her debut on August 19, 2007 (1st matchday) in a 1-1 draw against SC Freiburg . Due to a torn cruciate ligament in a preparation game during the winter break in 2007/08 , she had to pause for over a year and was unable to defeat 1. FFC either in the - unsuccessful - fight for relegation or in the 2008 DFB Cup final in Berlin Frankfurt was lost, support on the pitch. It was not until March 2009 that she made her comeback as part of the second division match against VfL Sindelfingen and a little later managed to get promoted back to the Bundesliga with her team. On November 8th, 2009 (8th matchday), she scored her only Bundesliga goal in a 4-2 home defeat against Hamburger SV with the goal of 3-1.
After Saarbrücken was relegated from the Bundesliga again at the end of the 2010/11 season , Schinkel joined Bundesliga promoted 1. FC Lok Leipzig in the summer of 2011 . However, this left after only six months and seven completed games for private reasons and moved to regional league club SV Bardenbach in January 2012 . There she plays together with her twin sister Sarah and rose in summer 2012 as champion of the Regionalliga Südwest in the 2nd Bundesliga South. As the bottom of the table, however, the team had to return to the regional league just a year later .
National team
Schinkel made his debut on June 3, 2004 for the German U-15 national team in a friendly against the Netherlands. Between 2004 and 2007 she played a total of 22 games for the DFB's junior team , including three for the U-15s, 18 for the U-17s and one for the U-19 national team .
