Anna-Beeke Gretemeier

Anna-Beeke Gretemeier (* 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist and editor-in-chief of the weekly Stern and its news website stern.de .

Career

Gretemeier began her journalistic career in 2006 in the Hamburg local editorial office of Bild . From July 2007 to June 2009 she completed a traineeship at the Berlin Axel Springer Academy , during which she wrote for Bild and Die Welt Kompakt . At bild.de , she initially helped set up a web TV department as head of duty and later as deputy head . In 2011 she went to the Naturschutzbund Deutschland as a public relations officer and, together with a journalist friend, founded a start-up company for Advent calendars in Berlin- Kreuzberg , on whose website in autumn 2014 she declared a “break” for personal reasons. In November 2014 she started working as a reporter for refugee and environmental issues and as an editor in Stern's Berlin office . From December 2015 she was Managing Editor for Social & Video in Stern's Hamburg headquarters . In March 2017 she first became deputy editor-in-chief and in October 2017 editor-in-chief of stern.de . In January 2019 she was also appointed editor-in-chief of Stern's print offer .

Gretemeier is a member of the juries of the Axel Springer Prize , the European Newspaper Award and the Corporate Culture Award of the Serviceplan Group as well as the Advisory Board of the Hamburg Media School for the "Digital Journalism Fellowship" course.
