Anna-Katharina Maier

Anna-Katharina Maier (* 1984 in Munich ) is a German film director .

Life

After graduating from high school in 2004, Anna-Katharina Maier completed a one-year dance and theater training at the International Munich Art Lab . In 2008 she began studying at the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF). In 2013 she studied advertising at the HFF, where she realized several commercials. In 2013 she was nominated for the First Steps Award for the Children Deserve Love spot . The 25-minute short film Family - The receipt comes at the end (2016) was her graduation film.

For ARD and ORF , she shot the television films Trauung mit Nahrungsmittel (2018) and the sequel Parents with Obstacles (2020) with Nicolette Krebitz and Hary Prinz . She also shot several episodes of the ARD early evening series Hubert and Staller and Hubert without Staller and the RTL series Die Klempnerin . Based on a script by Murmel Clausen and Mike Viebrock, she directed the series Der Beischläfer , published on Amazon Prime Video in May 2020, with Lisa Bitter and Markus Stoll in the lead roles. In 2020, she also shot two episodes of the RTL series Alarm for Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei .
