Anna Kühlein

Anna Kühlein (* 1990 in Germany ) is a German film composer .

Live and act

Anna Kühlein completed her studies in music production with a focus on recording, composition and piano at the Berlin University of the Popular Arts in 2016 with a Bachelor of Music . In the same year she began her master's degree in film music at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf .

She composed and produced for several projects, including together with Maurus Ronner for the multi-part TV series Ku'Damm 59 for ZDF . Other film projects were Amazons of a Big City (Director: Thaïs Odermatt, Production: SRF and maximage), Nachthall (Director: Victoria Schulz ), Far Outside (Director: Jan Peter Horstmann), KAISER (Director: Jannis Kiefer), Aufbruch (Director: Oliver Haffner ) and other short films.

She also composed music for a large audio-visual exhibition with a 3D audio system - a journey through the African bush ( Of Lions and Men ).

Since 2014 she has been working as a musical assistant for the film music composer Ali N. Askin and has supported him in various projects, including Tehran Taboo , Pettersson & Findus - Findus is moving , tomorrow we are free , Dogs of Berlin (netflix) and several Tatort episodes.

In 2019, Kühlein won the young talent award of the German Film Music Award and composed the music for the Christmas fairy tale The Snow Queen based on Hans Christian Andersen in the 2019/20 season at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau under the direction of Johannes Weigand .
