Life

Mazzamauro began her acting career in the late sixties. She opened the small theater “Il Carlino” in the center of Rome under her own management. Elio Pandolfi , the pop duo I Vianella and Bruno Lauzi also played in this theater workshop . After a devastating fire in 1968 the theater closed and Mazzamauro switched to film. She had her first role in Pronto ... c'è una certa Giuliana per te by Massimo Franciosa . In the same year she also played in the musical Non cantare, spara together with the Quartetto Cetra .

At the beginning of the seventies Mazzamauro played a number of female roles in several cabaret pieces that portrayed characters from modern society with a good dose of intelligence and self-irony. One of these pieces was released as a long-playing record. Stage partners were Lino Banfi and Oreste Lionello .

In 1975 the first film in the successful series about the accountant Ugo Fantozzi was released , in which Mazzamauro played the seductive Signorina Silvani . With these films Mazzamauro became known to the general public.

The most interesting and successful roles were in Raccontare Nannarella - a 1970 play dedicated to Anna Magnani that was revived in the 1990s, and Cyrano de Bergerac , in which Mazzamauro plays the male lead with the big nose.

On television Mazzamauro performed on Rai 2 in 1977 through the television variety Scuola serale per aspiranti italiani , after which Corrado Mantoni brought her to Rome for the live broadcast Grand Canal , which was broadcast in 1981 by the Teatro delle Vittorie . As a result of these appearances, Mazzamauro recorded a few singles with theme songs from the programs and children's songs. Under Mediaset , Mazzamauro starred in the show Grand Hotel on Canale 5 in 1985 , where she appeared alongside the best comedians of the time. For the same broadcaster, she appeared with Enrico Papi in the game show Beato tra le donne , which was an Italian version of Mann-o-Mann .
