Anna Sergejewna Kunajewa ( Russian Анна Сергеевна Кунаева ; born April 9, 1985 in Mitino , Glasow Rajon , Udmurt ASSR ) is a Russian biathlete .

Anna Kunayeva made her international debut at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Presque Isle . In addition to places between 16 and 24 in the individual races, she won the bronze medal in the relay race with Swetlana Slepzowa and Jekaterina Schumilowa . At the Junior European Championships in Langdorf that year , she won silver with the relay and was eighth in the pursuit. The Russian made her debut in the biathlon world cup in 2007 as 35th in a sprint in Hochfilzen . After she became the Russian sprint champion in early 2008, she was used again in the World Cup in Pyeongchang , just as little later at the Holmenkollen . In the seasons 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 she was only at the start in the European Cup . She was particularly successful at the Winter Universiade 2009 in Harbin , when she won three titles. At the 2010 European Biathlon Championships , she placed eighth in the sprint and improved to fifth in the pursuit, and she finished 24th in the individual.

Kunayeva is studying petroleum production at the Udmurt State University in Izhevsk .
