Annamaria Morini

Annamaria Morini (born October 18, 1950 in Bologna ; † May 26, 2016 there ) was an Italian flautist .

Life

Morini studied at the Florence Conservatory with Pier Luigi Mencarelli and perfected her training with Jean-Pierre Rampal , Andràs Adorjàn and Conrad Klemm . She specialized in contemporary music and has dedicated more than 120 works by composers such as Franco Donatoni , Giacomo Manzoni , Stefano Gervasoni , Fausto Romitelli , Aldo Clementi , Adriano Guarnieri and Benjamin Yusupov .

She was one of the founders of the Nuovo Ensemble Bruno Maderna , the Micromegas Ensemble and the Ensemble Blauer Reiter and worked as a soloist and in small chamber music formations with the pianist Stefano Malferrari and the sopranos Alda Caiello and Daniela Uccello . In 1988 she founded a duo with the violinist Enzo Porta , and in 2000 one with the harpist Paola Perrucci ; In 2009 she founded the Trio Metropolis .

Morini has appeared at numerous international music festivals (including the Venice Biennale , the Berlin Biennale , the Witten Music Days , the Milano Musica and the Warsaw Autumn) and participated in the Darmstadt Summer Courses . She made radio recordings (including for RAI , SFB , Kol Israel and Hungarian radio) and records for Ricordi, Fonit, Edipan, Curci, Tactus and Limen and worked on music theory writings such as Musiche di oggi per artisti di domani and Instrumentation in the music of the 20th century .

In 1989 she was one of the founders of the Associazione Nuova Musica in Bologna. She taught flute and contemporary chamber music at the city's conservatory, worked at the Laboratorio di musica contemporaneo and gave master classes all over Italy.
