Annamirl Bierbichler

Annamirl Bierbichler (* December 7, 1946 in Ambach am Starnberger See as Anna Maria Bierbichler; † May 27, 2005 in Penzberg ) was a German actress .

Life

Annamirl Bierbichler comes from a farming family from Ambach am Starnberger See. She first worked in her parents' inn . Through her younger brother, the actor Josef Bierbichler , she met the director Herbert Achternbusch , who she cast in his 1976 film Bierkampf without any acting training .

In the documentary film Witches by filmmaker Luisa Francia , she got the lead role. Since then she has played in numerous films, mainly under the direction of Achternbusch, who also engaged her as a stage actress for the world premiere of his play Weg at the Münchner Kammerspiele in 1985 .

As a congenial interpreter of Achternbusch, Annamirl Bierbichler also became his constant companion at public appearances. In Die Olympiaiegerin (1983) she played his mother, in the next film Rita Ritter even played himself. She also worked at the theater mostly under his direction.

Annamirl Bierbichler died of cancer at the age of 58.
