Josef Bierbichler
Josef "Sepp" Bierbichler (born April 26, 1948 in Ambach ) is a German actor and writer .
Life
Josef Bierbichler comes from a farming family from Ambach am Starnberger See . As a toddler, he attended a theater school in the neighboring village of Holzhausen. After his time in elementary school and a ten-year boarding school, including in the boarding school for the boys' real school Heilig Kreuz of the Sacred Cross Missionaries in Donauwörth , he completed the hotel management school.
Bierbichler had his first engagement as an actor in Holzhausen on Lake Starnberg . Pamela Wedekind and Rudolf Noelte discovered him there and brought him to the Munich Residenztheater . He ended the three-year contract halfway through the time. He was able to celebrate a great public success with the play Der Brandner Kaspar und das Ewig 'Leben , which was also staged for television in 1975. In 1976 Josef Bierbichler met the playwright and director Herbert Achternbusch , with whom he founded a shared apartment in Ambach. Together with his sister Annamirl Bierbichler , he was an actor in some of Achternbusch's films. In 1980/81, he went to the co-determination theater at the Schauspiel Frankfurt .
Bierbichler played the main role of the lawyer Friedrich Leonhardt in the film adaptation of six stories from Ferdinand von Schirach's short story book Verbrechen for ZDF . In 2012 he played Joe Hynes in the radio play Ulysses based on James Joyce , which, with a running time of more than 22 hours, is the longest radio play to date on Südwestrundfunk and one of the most elaborate radio play productions on ARD .
In all of his roles, Bierbichler always speaks with the linguistic coloring of his Bavarian native dialect. He writes columns for the magazine Theater der Zeit .
