Holzhausen am Starnberger See (also Holzhausen) is a district of the Münsing community and a district in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district . Until 1978 there was an independent community of Holzhausen on Lake Starnberg.

The Kirchdorf Holzhausen is about 1.2 km east of the lake on the state road 2065 .
history
On May 1, 1978, the independent municipality of Holzhausen am Starnberger See was fully incorporated into the municipality of Münsing as part of the regional reform . The approximately 2307 hectare area of the former municipality consisted of the parish villages of Holzhausen, Ambach and Sankt Heinrich , the village of Seeheim , the hamlets of Attenkam , Pischetsried , Reichenkam , Schechen and Weidenkam and Oberambach Castle . It stretched from Reichenkam in the north to Schechen in the south for 9 km. From the lakeshore in the west to Attenkam in the east over 2.5 km.
