Adolf Grimme Prize 1998
The 34th Adolf Grimme Prize was awarded in 1998 . From 510 proposed television productions, two selection committees nominated 8 series and multi-part series, 32 individual programs and 15 special performances by television personalities for the award. 4 further productions were nominated. The ZDF received 19 nominations, ahead of the WDR and NDR (subject 7), Bavarian broadcasting and Südwestfunk (depending 4). 5 nominations came from private broadcasters. The jury awarded prizes in the categories of series and multi-part series , fiction and entertainment , information and culture andSpecial . In addition, the audience award of the Marler Group , the special award of the Ministry for Urban Development, Culture and Sport and a special honor from the German Adult Education Association were awarded.
