Anne-Rose Neumann , née Schunke (born June 16, 1935 in Apolda ; † April 15, 2016 in Greifswald ) was the news anchor for German television and television in the GDR from 1963 to 1976 . She was the first news anchor on German television.

Life

Anne-Rose Neumann wanted to become a ballet dancer from an early age and was trained from 1951 to 1954 at the Palucca School in Dresden , where she also passed the Abitur. In 1955 she engaged Walter Felsenstein , the artistic director of the Komische Oper Berlin , as a dancer for one season. From 1956 to 1960 she was a dancer in the ballet of the Friedrichstadt-Palast . From 1958 to 1963 she worked as a cabaret artist in the Berlin cabaret Lachbrett .

Anne-Rose Neumann made her first television appearance on March 8, 1963 - International Women's Day - in the current camera of German television . In the Federal Republic of Germany , Wibke Bruhns did not speak until eight years later, on May 12, 1971, as the first female news anchor for heute-Nachrichten on ZDF .

Anne-Rose Neumann was a speaker until 1976. During her time as a news anchor in Leipzig, she studied journalism . From 1976 to 1991 Anne-Rose Neumann worked as a journalist for the Intervision editorial team at the current camera.

Anne-Rose Neumann was married, the mother of three children and lived in Berlin and Greifswald. She died in April 2016 at the age of 80 in Greifswald.
