AnniKa von Trier (real name Annika Krump , born June 2, 1970 in Trier ) is a German performance artist , songwriter , accordionist and author. Since 2014 she has appeared as a singer and performance artist under the name AnniKa von Trier . Since 1993 she has performed under the names Palma Kunkel - the singing plate face , the handbag wearer and Mademoiselle Papillon .

Life

In 1987 von Trier learned the basics of tightrope walking during a street theater internship with the Swiss group Karls-Kühne-Gassenschau . In 1990 she was a visiting student for painting at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Clermont-Ferrand . In 1991 she moved to Berlin . There she completed a basic course in modern German literature at the Free University of Berlin . Through an internship in directing Frank Castorf's play Rheinische Rebellen , von Trier came to the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and worked there from 1992 to 1995 as a dramaturgy and assistant director in productions by Christoph Marthaler , Christoph Schlingensief and Herbert Fritsch . In the Red Salon she was responsible for the literary events of the night café . After she found an accordion on a street in East Berlin, she turned to this instrument.

Von Trier has performed in-house productions in Germany ( Volksbühne Berlin , Tränenpalast , Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin , Hamburger Kammerspiele , Unterhaus Mainz and many others), Austria ( ORF Radiokulturhaus , International Accordion Festival Vienna , Rote Bar , Österreichische Galerie Belvedere ), Switzerland ( Zürcher Theaterspektakel ), Luxembourg , Holland, Italy ( Absolute Poetry Festival Monfalcone ), the Canaries ( La Palma ), Turkey ( Idans Festival ), India, Australia ( Adelaide Cabaret Festival ) and the USA ( Deutsches Haus der New York University , Gotham Comedy Club , PS122 , Goethe Institute ).

She was an artist at the Cirque du Soleil , the Chamäleon (Varieté) in Berlin and the Friedrichsbau Varieté in Stuttgart and has worked as a dramaturge, composer, songwriter and stage musician in theater productions. Since 1995 she has run regular salons where she introduces other artists.
