Anni Gondro

Anni Gondro (born August 24, 1919 in Neustadt OS / Upper Silesia ; † November 5, 2014 in Hanover ; maiden name: Bakalla ) was a German social democratic trade unionist and women's rights activist .

Life

Anni Gondro first came to Bremen after the Second World War and later to Hanover.

She was a member of the board, works council and chairwoman of the staff council, she was an honorary labor judge, broadcasting adviser and on the AOK administrative board.

Gondro was a member and functionary in the ÖTV and later the United Service Union for over 65 years , of which she was the oldest founding delegate.

She also opened her mouth in the early 1950s as a saleswoman in a large department store. The women there earned ten percent less than men for the same work. Anni Gondro organized a large demonstration with the DGB during the collective bargaining negotiations. The employers gave in, the wages were adjusted, the closing time regulated.

In Hanover, Anni Gondro, who counted the former Lord Mayor Herbert Schmalstieg among her friends, campaigned against a sale of the Stadtwerke Hanover and the privatization of the city 's old people's homes .
