Annika Bruhn (born October 5, 1992 in Karlsruhe ) is a German swimmer .
Personal
Annika Bruhn is the sister of Meike Bruhn and niece of the former German swimming champion Jürgen Bruhn . She graduated from high school in 2012.
Career
Bruhn started for SV Bietigheim and SG Neckar / Enz and is trained by Reiner Tylinski. The freestyle specialist had her first appearance at an international championship at the 2010 European Short Course Championships , where she was eliminated in the preliminary stages and was 16th overall.
successes
At the German Championships in 2012 she was fourth in the 200 meter freestyle and qualified for the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London . There she took eleventh place with the relay team consisting of Silke Lippok , Theresa Michalak , Bruhn and Daniela Schreiber in 7: 58.93 minutes.
She celebrated her first title win, starting for SV Bietigheim, at the German Championships in 2014 over 200 m freestyle in 1: 59.16 minutes; she referred the 400m champion Johanna Friedrich (1: 59.16) and Sarah Köhler (1: 59.45) to the places. The following year , Bruhn, now for SSG Saar Max Ritter , won three titles: She won over 100 m freestyle in 54.87 seconds, over 200 m in 1: 58.55 minutes and with the club in the 4 × 200 Meter relay with a new German record time of 8: 07.89.
In the same year she was also a member of the DSV squad for the 2015 World Championships in Kazan . There she won the bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m individual medley in the mixed relay.
At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , Bruhn took part in the competition for the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay and was ranked 12th there. She finished 20th in the 200 m freestyle with a new personal best of 1:58, 48 min.
