Another Page is the second album by Christopher Cross , which was released in January 1983 and was able to continue the soaring of Cross's career.
history
After the release of his debut album in 1979, Christopher Cross posted four top 40 hits in the USA, including the single Sailing . Cross won in four categories by debuting at the 1981 Grammy Awards : Album Of The Year , Record Of The Year , Song Of The Year, and Best New Artist Artist).
For the second album, Cross took three years and was able to engage numerous prominent guest musicians for the recordings. Despite the long time span, the album sounds largely like its successful predecessor. For William Ruhlmann from Allmusic , this is hardly surprising; he assumed Cross lacked passion in the production ("No one would confuse the result with anything truly heartfelt"). Cross mostly provided the album with soft pop sounds .

Charts
Despite the commercial success, Cross was only able to tie in with the chart successes of the debut album to a limited extent. Although the song All Right is the commercial success carrier of the album (which was also able to place in the German charts for the first time), he again reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 with Think of Laura , because it became General for the US television series Hospital used.

William Ruhlmann from Allmusic succeeded in his review of the album on Cross' concentration for smooth pop arrangements ("smooth pop arrangements") and his innocent tenor reminiscent of Brian Wilson ("innocent, Brian Wilson-like tenor").
