Antônio Mendes Vianna (born August 24, 1908 in São Luís , † May 2, 1976 ) was a Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Antônio Mendes Vianna was the son of Godofredo Mendes Viana , a senator and MP and governor of Maranhão from 1923 to 1926 . In 1930 he graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro with a Bachelor of Laws degree . In 1946 he became a corresponding member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes y Ciencias Históricas de Toledo . In 1958 he completed the Curso Superior de Guerra from the Escola Superior de Guerra .

career

On March 1, 1928, he joined the foreign service. On March 30, 1933, he was appointed third class consul. On June 20, 1934 was promoted to consul second class due to performance.
