Until he was relegated from the 1st Bundesliga in 2005, he played 44 times for the Breisgauer and scored ten goals.

For the 2007/08 season, 1. FC Köln Antar signed free of charge. He received a three-year contract. His overhead kick in the home game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden was voted Goal of the Month for March 2008. In the 2007/08 season he was involved in Cologne's promotion to the Bundesliga and scored both goals on the penultimate matchday for a decisive 2-0 win against 1. FSV Mainz 05 .
