Anthony Chiminello

Anthony Chiminello OSFS (born February 4, 1938 in San Zeno di Cassola , † November 23, 2002 ) was Bishop of Keetmanshoop .

Life

Anthony Chiminello joined the Order of the Oblates of St. Francis of Sales and was ordained a priest on June 27, 1965 .

On May 28, 1993, the Pope appointed him Vicar Apostolic of Keetmanshoop and Titular Bishop of Numana . The episcopal ordination took place on August 21 of the same year by the Archbishop of Cape Town Bonifatius Hausiku ICP ; Co- consecrators were Fernando Guimarães Kevanu , Bishop of Ondjiva , and John Baptist Minderk OSFS, Bishop of Keimoes-Upington .

John Paul II. Rose on March 14, 1994, the Apostolic Vicariate of the diocese and Chiminello was therefore appointed the first Bishop of Keetmanshoop.
