Fernando Guimarães Kevanu

Fernando Guimarães Kevanu (born August 14, 1936 in Odime ) is an Angolan clergyman and emeritus bishop of Ondjiva .

Life

Fernando Guimarães Kevanu was ordained a priest on July 2, 1970 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ondjiva on January 30, 1988 . The Archbishop of Luanda , Alexandre Cardinal do Nascimento , ordained him episcopal on July 3 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Manuel Franklin da Costa , Archbishop of Lubango , and Fortunato Baldelli , Apostolic Delegate in Angola and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in São Tomé and Príncipe .

On November 23, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. Fernando Guimarães Kevanu's resignation due to reasons of age.
