Anthony Hitchen

Anthony Hitchen (born May 23, 1930 in Chorley , Lancashire , † April 10, 1988 in Formby ) was a British Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Liverpool .

Life

Anthony Hitchen received on 17 July 1955 in the St. Joseph's Church in Chorley by the Archbishop of Liverpool, William Godfrey , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 28, 1979 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Othona and Auxiliary Bishop of Liverpool. The Archbishop of Liverpool, Derek Worlock , donated it and the appointed him Auxiliary Bishop Kevin O'Connor on July 3 of that year in the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Middlesbrough , Augustine Harris , and the Auxiliary Bishop of Liverpool, Joseph Gray .
