Bultmann's main topics are court reports , risk technologies , whistleblowing and moral courage . In this subject area, she also published several non-fiction books [1] and organized conferences at the Evangelical Academies. She conducted interviews with well-known personalities, e. B. with Klaus von Bismarck , Peter Ustinov , Jane Goodall , Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker , José Lutzenberger , Karlheinz Böhm , Carl Amery . She also published several non-fiction books on this subject.

Since 2001, as the successor to Günter Emde, she has headed the Ethics Protection Initiative (ESI) he founded in 1992 , a project of the International Network of Engineers and Scientists for Global Responsibility (INES). The focus is on voluntary support for whistleblowers. Bultmann was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Environmental Foundation from 2005 to 2007 and is a founding member of the Whistleblower Network e. Bultmann sounded the alarm against the dependence of science on the economy and pleaded for a life-friendly science. She has turned to artistic-scientific photography since 2012 (Water Worlds). With hundreds of unknown water views, it draws attention to the complexity and vulnerability of life and to an ecologically sustainable world.

Bultmann is regarded as a “renowned expert” on the subject of “whistleblowing and moral courage” and is working on making this subject area public through publications and conferences. She also advises and networks whistleblowers and the media .
