Antoine Labotte Carr (born July 23, 1961 in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma ) is a retired American basketball player who played in the NBA and Europe.

Career

Antoine Carr was considered a star at Wichita College . He took part with the US basketball team in the 1982 World Basketball Championship and won the silver medal.

In the 1983 NBA Draft he was selected by the Detroit Pistons , but Carr initially moved to Italy to Olimpia Milano . In 1984 he returned to the NBA and played for six years at the side of Dominique Wilkins and Kevin Willis for the Atlanta Hawks . In 1990 he was transferred to the Sacramento Kings , where he rose to star of the team with 20 points per game. However, he stayed in Sacramento for only one year before playing for the San Antonio Spurs between 1991 and 1994, alongside David Robinson . In 1994 he switched to Utah Jazz as a free agent . There Carr came off the bench as Best Sixth Man . At the side of jazz superstars Karl Malone and John Stockton , Carr reached the NBA finals with the jazz in 1997 and 1998. However, the Jazz lost both times to the Chicago Bulls . His last NBA stations were the Houston Rockets and Vancouver Grizzlies , where he saw little time as a reservist. In the last years of his career, Carr played in the lower class ABA and Ionikos IF in Greece.
