The Anton-Günther-Weg is a cross-border hiking trail in the upper Ore Mountains . It was inaugurated on September 16, 1995 in honor of the Erzgebirge local poet and folk singer Anton Günther . The hiking trail leads from Saxony to the Czech Republic and back. It connects numerous places of activity Günther. A full inspection requires at least two days.

The creation and signposting of the path was made possible thanks to the support of Euregio Egrensis . The initiators of the hiking trail include the former hiking supervisor of the Erzgebirgsverein , Reinhart Heppner , and Günther Adler (†) from Johanngeorgenstadt .

  • Anton-Günther-Höhe: the summit of a former mining dump named in honor of Günther. In 1995, memorial stones with memorial plates for Günther and Hans Soph , a refuge and benches were set up here, which were completely destroyed by vandalism only a few years later. The memorial stones were set up at the horse peg in 2011.
